I used this diet after being diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes at the weight of 112 Kg. I started to lose weight almost immediately and after about 8 months I was down to 90Kg, which is still overweight but enough to make my doctor classify me as “Not Diabetic”! I won’t say it was easy to follow since it does mean not eating in the same way as I had been used to and it was very helpful to have a partner who assisted me and kept me on the straight and narrow. We are slowly influencing good coffee providers to offer alternative milk to semi skimmed and soy. The following have fortunately changed due to our request and some now offer Oat and Almond Milk and in some cases Coconut milk. The trend has started and hopefully it will gather pace.
